My 2yr old daughter Emily was happily making christmas cards with me at the kitchen table today and my back was turned for about 30 seconds as I was washing my hands at the sink.
While my back was turned, she managed to push her legs against the table and push the booster seat (which is strapped onto a wooden kitchen chair) backwards. IT THEN TIPPED BACKWARDS WITH HER STRAPPED IN ONTO THE KITCHEN FLOOR. A complete nightmare!
She was screaming blue murder and she had a big egg bump on the back of her head.
My husband and I rushed to A&E where she was assessed and so far thankfully as is well. Apart from "poorly head mummy", Calpol, and lots of attention!
I was horrified that this happened although I COMPLETELY BLAME MYSELF FOR NOT WATCHING HER.
I am now really concerned about using the booster seat.
What a horrible day and we will be watching her closely - but Im sure it could of been alot worse!!
What do I do with the seat?
Is this a common accident?
