Why can't you send them back? Next have taken stuff back from me after a month or two?

kalexcelsis · 11/12/2005 19:29

What size?

twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 19:37

It is 28 days to return, I phoned up and checked.

THey are a size 6.

I just love the boots and thought i could slim my chubby little legs into them - so didn't return them! Have now ordered some others designed for people with chipolata stumps like me!

Dp says £60 after walking out fo the room in disgust that I paid £89.99 for a pair of boots that don't fit!

jinglinggoblin · 11/12/2005 19:39

tell them to make you an offer

kalexcelsis · 11/12/2005 19:40

I took back sheets to Next that were 3 months old, (but still in the plastic) wrong colour, and they told me that they wouldn't take anything else back past the 28 days, but refunded me my money.

worth a try before selling them at a loss. Esp before Xmas.

twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 19:42

I have been into the store, they said that they are especially strict with shoes!

OP posts:
GoodKingWestCountryLass · 11/12/2005 19:42

Just take them back to your local store and say you have lsot the receipt and exchange them for other things or gift vouchers, they don't need to know how long you've had them

SenoraPostrophe · 11/12/2005 19:43

like wcl says!

twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 19:44

I could try sending dp in tomorrow, they might remember me, but you can't withdraw an item once you have bids though can you?

OP posts:
NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 11/12/2005 19:46

Yes, get someone else to take them back and say they don't have the receipt because lost it/gift/blah blah.

Do it now before they go in to the sale otherwise you'll only get the price they're at then IYSWIM.

ladymuck · 11/12/2005 19:49

Ask for the courier to pick them up. They're won't send them back out again, but they'll refund instead. Defintiely not worth losing £30+ over.

twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 19:49

I could send dp in and he could play dumb male bought slim boots for fat girlfriend and they don't fit and now she has checked into rehab with an eating disorder so she won't be needing them now as all she is wearing is a loose gown and fluffy slippers!

OP posts:
SenoraPostrophe · 11/12/2005 19:50

you can withdraw an item with bids on. it's not the done thing but I've seen people do it.

or get a friend to put a really high bid on.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 11/12/2005 19:51

PMSL TSAP!

twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 19:55

But if I withdraw I have to do it now as you can't withdraw in last 12 hours, I ahve 23 left - so not enough time to go to thw shops try and get a refund and then go back home and take them off ebay. So if I take them off ebay now and then Next don't take them back I may have problems listing them again on ebay.

OP posts:
merrySOAPBOXingday · 11/12/2005 19:57

Get someone to put in a high bid now £90. Then if someone on ebay out bids them before auction ends, sell them to that person. If not get DH to take the boots back to Next.

If they don't take them relist on ebay and say the buyer is pissing you around and so you are relisting

twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 19:58

I am too honest for this lark!!!

OP posts:
merrySOAPBOXingday · 11/12/2005 19:59
Wink
twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 20:07

Dp is even more honest than me, he was horrified at the suggestion of false bids and now just wants me to sell them in ebay!

OP posts:
kalexcelsis · 11/12/2005 20:26

Why didn't you ask our advice in the first place sorry i would have taken them off your hands but i am a 40

twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 20:29

I am more than willing to follow soapboxes advice, I have even roped my mUm in to do the bidding!

Dp has far to namy principles for my liking! Especially as they are principles we can't afford!

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 11/12/2005 20:30

Moral of the tale ask the court of Mumsnet before doing anything!
