Our rellies there love getting cadburys and walnut whips!

Dime bars. Jaffa cakes are rare. I think you can't get PJ Tips easily. Lots of the weirder chocolate/biscuit options don't exist there, like (I think?) chocolate oranges.

I send my parents who live there,redbush tea,knorr cubes,cadburys,turkish delight bars(frys),Mars bars,magazines(they're crap there)

Will have a good think....

Oh, you can't get M+S stuff there any more, so any cakes/biscuits etc from there are good.

Also, her favourite magazines, particularly if they're not available there (e.g. the Economist is, British Vogue is, but Heat probably isn't).

Whatever you send be sure to keep the package under 2 kg (or do 2 parcels) otherwise it may end up costing a fortune to send it all the way over there. (well, not the advise you was asking for but,,, I thought it might help )

My English friends in America, are all desperate for some good tea. Not sure - is it the same in Canada? If so, she might appreciate something great, or even a box of PG Tips!

polly28 · 12/12/2005 00:56

anything from M&S

a copy of her local paper

Xmas pudding...probably too heavy tho

kiskidee · 12/12/2005 01:18

Cadbury's Flake to stick in her icecream?

NotQuiteCockney · 12/12/2005 08:22

I don't really drink tea, but Canada does have a brand of (orange pekoe, whatever that is) tea, advertised by sniffy English people saying "Only in Canada, you say? Pity."

Or at least it used to.

I always used to get mince pies at M+S, but as they're not in Canada any more, they might be hard to get. (A friend's English mum called M+S her "little ethnic shop", which was sweet.)
