Hi, I remember a relative saying that she got a lot of clothes, equipment etc for her daughter from tesco. She was really impressed by them and as I am now in the process of getting together the bits and pieces I need for my baby, I would like to have a look at what they've got.

However, my relative said she cant remember the name of the catalogue, she thought it was you and your child and I've done a web search for this but cant find anything. I've looked up tesco direct but this includes groceries and I've also looked at the main tesco website and the baby and toddler club info.

Has anyone else bought stuff from this catalogue. Is it called you and your child, and can you still get this catalogue? If so how do I get hold of a copy?

Her daughters now 2!/2 by the way.

TIA

You used to be able to pick up the catalogue in store but I don't think they do it anymore. I noticed a while ago that they don't seem to have baby and children's clothes on the website so perhaps they have stopped doing it mail order.

You might have to go on a visit to one of their stores I think. HTH.

I joined the Tesco baby club via the website when pg with DD1 and used to get stuff sent because of that. "You and your child" rings a bell, but it might be a general magazine thing with lots of Tesco products featured, which used to come about every 3 months. You used to get lots of money off coupons too, which all helps.
They don't do baby clothes etc online anymore, which is a great shame.

I think it was a mail order thing too, you used to get the catalgues displayed near the tills. Shame if they don't do it anymore - we got some bulky things from them, as the delivery was free. Some of DD's first babyclothes were from tesco, biught instore as presents - we were impressed with the practicality of them - the zips/poppers etc seemed to be in the right place, and they were well thought out IYKWIM.

I got some great bargains from them online and then the site suddenly disappeared. I emailed to ask where it went and they told me they had stopped doing it. Apparently it's because people liked to see the big purchases like prams, cots etc 'in the flesh' before buying, so it wasn't a viable option to continue or so they said. It's a shame because they had some nice stuff. I think you can still get some of it in the big Tesco's stores though.

Bez, have a look at \link www.tesco.com/babyandtoddlerclub\ this{}

I've just rejoined, as it's ages since I had anything from the Toddler Club!

Bother,I still can't do links! You'll have to copy and paste:

www.tesco.com/babyandtoddlerclub/

I can do smilies though (she says defiantly)

I actually mailed Tesco in April to ask them where their clothes section had gone on their web site, their reply was -

We have closed the online Baby & Toddler warehouse as we have found most customers who are purchasing large items such as prams/cots and other large nursery items, want to 'see & feel' the products before buying. We have found therefore that the site has been used primarily for small everyday purchase and this is not viable on a long term basis.

We will continue to offer a range of Baby & Toddler goods in our larger stores.

So much for the Internet becomming the future!

Sounds a bit of a copout to me. How come sites like kiddicare are doing so well then. I buy all my bigger things online so I don't have to lug them home.
