biglips, my 14 month old dd2 is getting a hammer and peg toy, a shape sorter toy and some books

i think an aquadraw and some books is plenty for a 14 month old! plus the dolly set - your dd will love all of these

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 07/12/2005 14:37

yeah as im not sure if thats enough or less for her

I agree. I have bought my 19mo dd a Leap-Pad, a doll's cot and we will put a lump sum into her child trust fund. She has tons of toys already, my parents will go completely ott with gifts and she doesn't really understand what's going on yet so I feel it's plenty at this stage.

nailpolish · 07/12/2005 14:38

dd1 is 3 and STILL plays with

this

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 07/12/2005 14:41

hmm thats looks good NP as she could do with new toys for her "age" of where she should be up to.. as she hadnt really got that many!! as im always hiring them from the playgroups!!

hiya, my boy is getting books, some russian dolls (he likes putting things in other things a lot at the moment) and a little wooden digger and dumper truck. and i will wrap up some pyjamas and socks so he has the fun of opening them. i have tried to show some restraint.....it would be possible to spoil them rotten

Bozza · 07/12/2005 14:43

Does she have/does the set include a doll's buggy? bought DD one for her doll for her first birthday and it has been v. popular. They are £5 at ELC.

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 07/12/2005 14:45

yes she had got a buggy for her dollies.. and i bought her an activity walker for her 1st bday (in oct) which she loves..

toys such as this are always a big hit

nailpolish · 07/12/2005 14:49

for stocking fillers you could get 2 or 3 little plastic cars - my dd2 loves cars (and who says they are just for boys?)

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 07/12/2005 14:49

thanks NP as i havent thought of that and she lurves nursery rhymes

aquadraw is BRILLIANT

nailpolish · 07/12/2005 14:56

there is the regular one or the new thomas one

DissLocated · 07/12/2005 14:56

We've got an Aquadraw, they're quite good. The only problem is the mat gets full up with drawings quite quickly then you have to wait for it to dry before you can do any more. Ours was quite hard to find in the shops though.

mazzystar · 07/12/2005 14:59

thanks, ladies, i shall investigate....

biglips how about some maracas or musical instruments so she can play along to music ( if you can stand the noise). ds has some from elc (only £2) and LOVES them

BROWNYtherednosereindeer · 07/12/2005 14:59

Hiya, I've just come back from Woolworths in town.

Just bough ds MegaBlocks Neighbourhood Town, he absolutely loves his MegaBlocks and calls them BooBoo's! They're the first thing he wants to play with in the morning, he loves to put them away in their bag too. The extra set I got him today, has people, animals, trees and gates and things to add to what he already has!

I'm going to buy him some play food too and a little trolley - I think he'd like them!

BROWNYtherednosereindeer · 07/12/2005 15:00

Hiya, saw Aquadraw in Woolworths also in Argos catalogue!

nailpolish · 07/12/2005 15:02

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 07/12/2005 15:38
