Have just got one of these alarms for 5 yr old son who still bed wets. Has anyone else tried one and had any success? Any other useful tips?

I just asked about the same problem but Iam not sure where I posted the question!!! Did this work. My daughter is 4 1/2 and sleeps very, very deeply.

Hello 2107! We got our son started on one during the October half-term. The results are slow but steady, as they have to make the link in their brain between the sensations of a full bladder and waking up to go to the toilet, so as you can imagine, this does take a while. We got ours from Ferraris Medical supplies, I think it cost about £50, a bit pricey I know, but really we didn't know what else to try and ds was getting very down about wearing pull-ups at night. There is a little sensor that you sandwich between 2 pairs of pants and this is attached to the alarm unit which clips on to the pyjamas. As soon as even the smallest drop of wee hits the sensor, the alarm goes off, and wakes the child (although not always initially, so you need to keep an ear open) and stops them weeing so that they can go to the toilet. As I said, it is working, but with our ds, it is taking a little while (I'm not sure what the average length of time is) Having said that, for the past few nights he has been dry, so fingers crossed!
