Royal Mail Letters to Santa - are they doing this service still?

DS sent a letter to Santa last year via Royal Mail and got a letter back (it was free), but can't see anything on their website this year.

I was after the address and found it from archived Google threads:

Address letter to:

Santa Claus/Father Christmas
REINDEERLAND
SAN TA1

Before I sent the letter I wanted to be sure RM were still running the service and DS would get a letter back. Anyone know?

Yes, I think they are. My dds sent off their letters last week (no reply yet, but didn't expect one so soon). I found the address (the one you have already) on their website.

I've done it for a couple of years & just put Santa, North Pole on it with a 1st class stamp (don't want them thinking I'm a sponger lol)
Last year it was quite late on in December before we got anything back.

Just got this from Moneysavingexpert.com

Free Letter From Santa

----------------

Some companies try and charge for a letter from Santa.

Forget that.

If you (or maybe your child(ren)) send a letter with a first or second class stamp on it to

Santa
Reindeerland
SAN TA1

as long as it is received before December the 13th and includes a reply address. !Then Santa will write back, with the kind aid of the Royal Mail !

I ho-ho-hope you save some money

Martin

Updated Note

A few more facts from the discussion below.

  1. The website www.Northpole.com is Father Christmas's e-mail address apparently, and if children write there, he is now web enabled. !It seems Mrs. Christmas personally installed good ADSL up there. !(thanks to Nololly for this suggestion).

  2. Even if the address to Santa isn't correct, you should usually get a reply, however the above address is the one Royal Mail say Santa prefers.

theres emailsanta.com as well for an instant email reply

Royal mail will always reply to any letter addressed to Santa, as long as there's a stamp on the envelope.

Sadly excited that I think DS1s reply from Santa arrived this morning...!
