My flat has been on the market for a year and a half..I am always under offer and the buyer always pulls out.
My neighbour lives in the exact same flat as me except he is childless and has cleaners and never cooks etc.

I have a secure parking space to my flat, he doesn't.

He sold his house for 50k more than the last offer I received (he exchanged with his buyers really quickly).

Luckily for me, my daughter is worth at least £50k (and then some)...but still it is so shocking how much people can't see past some marks on the hall wall where DD tried to bash a toy to death.

You will all think of me as a lazy slovenly womean who can't keep a clean house...and it is tru I can't compete with a single man who has a team of three cleaners - no matter how much i repaint.

Oh God! Dillydally. My worst fears confirmed.
What hope is there for me to move house with my four?

My advice (which comes with considerable hindsight) is put your children and all of their stuff into storage and pay as many cleaners as you can possibly afford.

I think we suffered from a bit of this when we were trying to sell, people would come round and couldn't seem to see past the cats and DD!!! I'm like "look at the flat not the cats and DD they aren't in the asking price!"

Hopefully a decent buyer will come along for you soon.

I have a buyer lined up who now finally has a mortgage offer, so i hope (i really really hope) I may exchange before spending two years on the market!
