I want to put my tree up!

Have started the gift buying, making the mincemeat and the odd crafty present, and now I want to put my tree up. Very early I know, not sure if it is unlucky but we have had so much bad luck lately it can't get any worse.

But killjoy dp has said if the tree goes up before the twelfth he is walking!!

well that is seriously weird as even your mum confirmed it was the 6th to me

Going up Thursday because a) kids are at a Christmas Disco (by which time they'll have seen Father C twice at school!) and b) It is Sam's 6th birthday Saturday so we want it up for then.

I'm putting mine up today. Dd was scared of the one in the shopping centre so hoping if I put it up early she might be used to it by the time everyone has them up.

I came home on friday to find the house totally decorated - light outside, tree up etc etc.

Couldn't believe it.

Was so shocked.
Dh doesn't normally do things to bring attention to himself !!!

Asked if it wasn't just a bit early and he said He didn't care.

He said "don't you like it" and I said, "yeah, I love it"

He said, So do Jack (22 mths) and I , and that's all that matters !!!!!!!!!

I hope you've all got fake trees or you're going to end up with a dead twig and a pile of needles by the 21st.

I put mine up some time after the 15th and am still bored of it by New Year.

When I was younger we used to put ours up really late, do remeber putting them up on Christmas eve one year. You used to put them because you had to not because you wanted to so you never really enjoyed it.

Up until this year I've been working in shops at this time of year and hated the thought of Christmas so I'm going to enjoy myself this year and look forward to Christmas day rather than thinking of it as being the only day I had off work for two months and sleeping though it.

Just got the tree and decorations out of hibernation! Everythings going up tonight( waheey!)

im not allowed to put mine up yet and ive not to "go over the top" he bought 20 light for a 6ft tree now thats not gonna work i want at least 100

Best of all I ahve a huge vat of homemade mincemeat slowly heating in the oven. My house smells deliciously festive!

Have to join you all my tree is also up ds could not wait any longer so i thought why wait till the 1st? We put it up yesterday as we had a spare day together.

Our tree is up and has been since sunday as DH was only off on sunday then dont know when his next day off is. Baby being induced on 15th so cant see me wanting to do it after then and I usually do it on the 1st dec anyway. Ds(2.1) is absolutely delighted with the christmas tree and keeps pointing out ornaments. House felt lovely yesterday to wake up with snow and the decorations up.
