really hard grown up MATHS problem involving volume...help!

I am making a chessescake, but have only a 22cm circular cake tin, instead of the required 20cm tin. By what percentage do I need to increase the ingredients? As DH has already pointed out, my initial response of 20% is incorrect! can anyone help??

YOur message about your Grandma reminds me about mine. She was a great cook, but particularly a great cake/biscuit maker. Her DC asked her for the recipes so that they didn't get forgotten. She'd say "add some flour". they'd ask, "how much?" "Oh, about enough," was always the reply. She was never wrong either.

She also judged how much to cook meat by eye.

It's her funeral on Tuesday and I know mum will mention how she used to cook Sunday dinner for a load of adults, handful of kids and three dogs in a tiny kitchen, and squeeze us all round their dining table at the other end of the kitchen. She had nothing but shared everything she had with her family.
