you'll have to knit your own waitrose if you really want to fit in

LIZS · 24/11/2005 20:27

yes , and we're hoping to move into that area sometime next year as the drive is a pita. Currently we're on the way down towards Starlover !

dinny · 24/11/2005 20:28

fab pub ?!

dinny · 24/11/2005 20:30

trying to find remote...

that's what I thought - but what if we don't get a place, will we get one somewhere?

it's a foundation school, so think it's just up to governers, that right?

OP posts:
dinny · 24/11/2005 20:31

yes, award winning food...?

LIZS · 24/11/2005 20:35

hmm, not as far as I know - we're more family pubs and karaoke down here ! There are some nice country style pubs dotted around though. tbh not been back long enough to have worked out what is what ! btw we have a great Waitrose !!

LIZS · 24/11/2005 20:36

Surrey LEA have to offer your dd a place somewhere .

starlover · 24/11/2005 20:39

the main problem with living in a village is that it costs so much.
because you know everyone all the kids come round wanting sponsor money, and then other people come round collecting for various charities, and you just can't say no!
and then of course you get roped into all the school fetes etc etc!

actually i don't live in a village any more... hated the one i grew up in! lol

dinny · 24/11/2005 20:42

LIZS, there is a Waitrose where....? I was thinking we'd be nearish the Caterham one.

OP posts:
LIZS · 24/11/2005 20:44

Caterham will be nearer for you, just a few miles up the road !

dinny · 24/11/2005 20:45

am kind of also panicking that won't be able to walk for miles with buggy like I do in London. it's my only way of keeping fit. not too many pavements around in t'country, are there?
