I like it, and so does DP. It's looking possible that within the next six weeks we will be needing a car. Have shortlisted this type as a possible due to insurance, tax economical etc. We do have a budget, but I have a good strong feeling about this one . What do other people think? daewoo matiz

PS, noted the body damage, but neither of us are too worried, as this is the only way we will get a car like this anywhere near our original budget!

I had a Matiz for the year before we came to AUs. It was a nippy little car - great for around town BUT I also drove over 1/2 to work on large a-roads and would drive the M25 to visit inlaws. Fuel consumption even with that sort of driving was fab.

The only prob we had - the battery went flat and you have to pay to get the airbags reset when that happ-ens - about 35 quid from memory. When we left we sold ours for about 2000 quid - that was mid 2004.

Steering was light - liked the fact it had dual airbags - no air con in ours, fitted our chicco caddy stroller in the boot.

I do like the look of them. Seems to be some reasonably priced Saxo's about too though, so will look into them a bit. I like them too, was brought up in a citroen family (we had a visa, a 2CV and some other kind of citroen I can't remember which)
