waxing your 'bits' at home...advice please!

Does anybody put themselves through this? I've just bought some self waxing strips to do my overdue legs and bits myself for the first time. I think that I need the heavy duty option next time as there's no way 16 strips is ever going to strip all the hair from both legs, underarms and bikini area. I'd like to think that this was due to me having lovely long legs, but in reality it's probably due to the prolific amounts of dark hair I have! lol!!
Does anyone have one of the salon style warm waxing things and cloths - if so where do you get them - I've had a quick look in Boots but can't seem to see anything....
Can anyone help me please?

i think the strips are only enough to do your legs.
you can get a special sensitive areas kit for bikini line etc!

i haven't found that that successful tbh... i think the warm wax is better! immac do them.. little pots of wax that you heat int he microwave and cotton strips

I warm wax at home. BUT, I have been waxed for a long, long time. Nearly 20 years. I get my wax heater, clothes, etc. from Sally's beauty supply.

You can avoid ingrown hairs by exfoliating before waxing, good waxing technique and using 'Tend Skin' afterwards.

I'd never put myself through that - far too much pain but then again I'm a wimp

I'll stick to shaving, no pain there!!

OK.......I know I'm mad . Like the idea of the wine!! I have been waxed for the last couple of years - I find it so damned difficult with 2 children to get to the salon though! Thought that I'd give the home wax kits a go so that I can do it one evening under the cover of darkness!!
So, Sally's beauty supplies - is this online? and where can I get Tend Skin then?

I get TendSkin in Harvey Nicks', but you can get it online as well. Sally's, well, there's one not far from me so I go n there as well.

I've never used the strip kits. I just pull in the direction of the growth.

But after so many years it stings a bit and that's it. I've also had years of watching good waxers.

I can't understand how you can do that yourself!!! I'm just not bendy enough!!!

omg...I only do the edge bits! Couldn't bring myself to do a 'full kit n caboodle......!'
I don't think that Leicester has a Sally's but will investigate online....Last time I went into the city was about 6 months ago...If I can't get it online or in a place that is pushchair friendly I do without!
