Ebay - question.

Wonder if anyone can help me, I have recently started selling items on ebay, and several weeks ago they had a free listing day. I have quite a few things to sell that probably wouldn't go for much, and wondering if anyone is a regular user and knows wether these things are frequent or not. I want to sell my friends video collection, and have so many paying the listing fee each time will work out a lot. Thanks

Hi doormat, I have been watching others selling and think probably best selling them each video. I know they did a free listing day a while back and hoped they would do one again soon, hope someone knows the answer. thanks

They probably will breeze, do another free listing day before xmas

Mummysurfer · 27/09/2003 07:05

They seem to do them every couple of months. There'll be one before Christmas, I'm sure. If you're registered they'll email you to let you know

Thanks, I have about 50 of dh old lp's, I have sold some, nut knowing my luck as soon as I had listed them, they would announce a free day. They did free listing for 99p and under, even that would do. I imagine they are always doing something.

The problem with free listing days is that yes, you don't pay the listing fee but there are a lot more items coming on which may mean you get a lower final auction amount. Swings and roundabouts!

Hi Breeze,

These things are a very regular occurence. I buy/sell on ebay a lot and they send me the emails. They do 5+ a year.

Mummysurfer · 28/09/2003 08:00

I get the mails & I've a rating of about 20. So I'm not exactly a heavy user. I'd check the address they have for you.

Zebra, go to Ebay, look at My Ebay and then click on "preferences" One of these is your notification preferences and one of these is "ebay email" which included free listing notifications etc. You need to tick this box to receive emails.

I buy on Ebay, but haven't (yet) got into selling. To Soupdragon and SB34, and others who do sell: It looks quite complex. Can you give me an estimate of how long it takes you to enter the details of a simple item, e.g. a children's book?
