DD wont stop whinging and crying. She wont sit down to eat, wont eat. Just a few nibbles everywhere. She keeps pointing to food and other things she wants then refuses when you offer them.

I keep falling out with DH over stupid stuff. We both want things our way and want to be right. The above is driving us both insane.

I guess I just want someone to tell me life gets better.

I know DD is teething quite bad. I just dont know what to do to make her feel better. Done calgel, cant use powders as it has lactose in it. Dont really want to keep dosing her up with calpol but may have to. Her eyes are all red from something she has eaten. Suspected problem with oil. Sorry waffelling now.

Though I have just thown down to DH a pair of socks at his request. He was just getting DD ready to go outside for a bit. Only he wanted a pair for himself and not a small pair of pink ones. Did make me laugh though :D

Sometimes when they're teething there isn't a whole lot you can do to make them feel better - your dh taking her out is a good idea (you put your feet up for a minute and veg out in front of the TV with a cup of coffee). Is she your first? It's a steep learning curve and puts all sorts of new stresses on your relationship - but, yes, it does get better. When your dh gets back, give him a hug and say you're sorry (even if you're not and it was his fault - you be the grown-up). Sometimes when I can't stand dh and every single thing he does bugs the crap out of me I pretend to like him - and it works: we both feel better.

And I wouldn't worry about the Calpol - ds1 was dreadful when he was teething and I was worried I was going to make him addicted to Calpol, the amount of it I was shovelling in. I asked my GP and she said there was no problem so long as I was careful not to exceed the maximum doses per day.

Don't know if that helped - you just sounded so very fed up.

Totally freaked out ast ds-refused to take him swimming! dd (12months) aslewep in cot so can't go anywhere until she wakes-such a nice day I am going stir crazy!

Is dd old enough to eat an ice lolly? Or an ice cube in a tea towel helps too. I remember my 2 hardly ate when teething, must be sore for them

Thanks for all your replies. We went for a walk in the rain with a friend and her dog. DD seemed to like being out, so did we.

She is still teething but much happier that she was.

Thanks for all the replies. Nice to know that I can have a whinge on here
