Terrorism: does it stop you taking the tube?

I have to go to London soon for work & the woman I have to go with is refusing to take the tube & wants to go by taxi instead.

I think this is giving in to terrorism and have said i won't share her cab (which she is offering to pay for herself...her quote "what price life?")

Shouldn't we all be standing shoulder to shoulder against terrorism and taking the tube as normal?

I still use the tube and if DD gets into the school of our choice, she will also be using it

I am taking dd to the science museum at the weekend, also by tube

I totally agree with you twirl, I will continue to use the tube whenever I am in London.

I think you need to point out to your work mate that she is 100x more likely to die in a car accident in the cab than you are on the tube and then ask her "what price for life"

I wonder if you should ask her id she has stopped eating eggs due to bird flu I bet she would tell you taht that would be an over reaction.

Silly moo! Statistics show that she's WRONG. I've got a friend who refuses to go on the same plane as her DH but gets in the car every day with him!

I never take the tube if I can help it because it's vile, dirty, overpriced and over-crowded.

Terrorism is just another (relatively minor) factor in my decision not to use the tube.

Can't be doing with the buses either - you can't just jump on one now, can you, you have to buy a ticket and by the time you've paid for it, you've missed the bus.

Easier to walk.

I use the tube everyday.

Dw and the dds also still use it.
