Me and dh have decided we want to move right away from London, and we both really like the idea of moving to St Ives. It seems really nice, but we don't know anything about the area at all. Does anyone live there (or nearby)? Could anyone let me know what it's actually like?

Bomper we used to live in South Croydon which we used to think was a lovely area. But its rapidly going down hill, wouldnt wanna move back there! So have you started making any immediate plans , or just tunneling with thoughts and ideas??

dd is called chloe, everyone knows the giggling minx lol!
No not going to scarborough, cant afford £175! I prefer to spend it on a family holiday which she understands! There was so many dissapointed kids that didnt get on it, i think 40 kids is hardly enough compared to how many kids are in the year! Ive heard a rumour that they might be taking the ones that dont go to cadbury world! ( Im gonna hitch a lift if they go,lol!)

Has she got blonde hair? Cadbury world is great it's near where my in laws live - you go girl they give you free chocolate!!! It's a better trip than where they went last year - a rainy day in Thetford forest. Agree Scarborough is expensive.

nope brown hair!!
Told her Scarborough is full of old grunters, so she isnt missing much, lol!!

Will have to finish doing house up first, have to finish off the lounge, hall/stairs/landing deffo need doing, the rest we can get away with. Then we will start making serious plans, dh's job is such that he can work more or less anywhere, the only problem is ds and dd1, both really happy in their current school, lots of friends etc. It feels cruel to tear them away and yet it is them we are doing this for in the first place!!

Oops wrong girl - I helped out at Burleigh Hill a few times last year with some of the older ones in the morning. Do you live near the school?
