1 stone = 14lbs.

So that's 17lbs. 2nd stage car seat is from 9kg, which is 19.8 lbs. So almost, but not quite.

Best to keep her in the first one for as long as possible, they're safer.

katymac · 24/10/2005 08:26

14lbs in a stone

So she is 17lbs (37.4 kg)

Furball · 24/10/2005 08:27

14lbs in a stone - so she is 17lbs. But to confuse us even more, arn't car seats in kilos these days?

misdee · 24/10/2005 08:27

cheers. i wont move her till she reaches the weight needed. its taken her 2months to gain 2lbs so i think she'll be in her seat a little longer.

(Um, katymac, divide by 2.2, don't multiply...)

katymac · 24/10/2005 08:27

Opps to early tha should read 7.7kgs (i multiplied not divided)

misdee · 24/10/2005 08:28

i gwet all confused with weights. yes car seat says 9kg minimum weight.

now anyonew got any ideas on how to stop her screaming in her car seat?

They do prefer forward-facing, don't they. Unfortunately, rear-facing is much much safer.

DS1 generally gives stuff to DS2, to make things more interesting. It helps a bit.

misdee · 24/10/2005 08:37

i do usually get one of the older 2 to play with her but she still has a scream. toys keep her occupied for all of 5minutes. i just drove to grat yarmouth and back and she cried a great deal there and back. even after being fed. she did eventually fall asleep so i got some peace. mind you she has never likes the car seat.

Have you been to the castle pub at caister?

Has a fun fort (play area - babies and older) plus great food (not terribly cheap tho')

Thrigby Zoo
Wroxham Barns
Suffolk widlife park
Time & tide is great for about 4 upwards

misdee · 24/10/2005 09:17

we like fatsos in the town.

any of the things u mentioned indoors? i get a feeling its gonna rain all weekend.

OP posts:
katymac · 24/10/2005 09:19

Time & Tide is inside

Fatso are the same people as the Castle

Sea-Life centre is same as anywhere else - but good for a visit if you haven't been.

I'll ask around (we stay in in the rain & people visit us- cos of our playroom)

misdee · 24/10/2005 10:53

will look them all up. i think caister is a bit far for dinner and i know where fatsos is and wont get lost getting there.

where abiyts in gt yarmouth are you? are you near the town?

OP posts:
katymac · 24/10/2005 11:21

About 8 miles outside

Caister is about 2 miles from the seafront - but easy to get to

We could meet up for a coffee or a drink (if you have time - I know what weekends away are like)
