Has anyone tried the ultrasonic mouse trap repeller, plug in?

I have tried a few things to try and get rid of our mice, very reluctant to use poisen as was told you could find dead bodies everywhere, which would freak me out. However now our hamster has just died, I was thinking about getting some, must at about £20, didn't want to get them if no good. Anyone tried them?

I bought one recently that is supposed to get rid of spiders (in desperation, as out new house seems to be some kind of spider sanctuary). Haven't seen any since we got it, but this could be because the 'spider season' is now coming to an end, so couldn't say for sure that it is the ultrasonic thing. Ours was bloomin' expensive at £40 (which shows how much I hate the little buggers) but is also supposed to get rid of rodents.

Hmmm... haven't been any help at all, have I? Think it is probably a worthwhile investment-- other methods can soon mount up to costing almost as much, and at least this works for an indefinite period of time without being hazardous to children. Give it a go!

i also want to know!we have had mice for months, we have used traps, killed loads, but they keep coming back.

well we have a mouse/mice, we got the plug in thing cos i refused to put poisen down, and the mouse just runs around in the kitchen in front of it, so from what i have found, they dont work.
unless our mouse is deaf...................

there must be a new strain of mice that don't go in for things that kill them ! We also have been struggling with mice that won't touch our traps, or the poison, or even step on the really sticky paper (well one did - but I reckon his loud squeaking was something to the effect of "Oi - mates - don't go near these sticky things" ).

I have got beyond the stage of feeling squeamish about killing them - I am just getting really depressed of finding mouse poo in every new drawer I open, and the house stinks of mouse pee .

We know where they are hiding - but can't get to them (under a floor that we are going to rip up in about a year when our extension is done - how I wish we could rip it up now).

We've tried them and they work fairly well (remember to frequently change the frequency though - ours had two different frequencies). However, it didn't work very well with rats

Yep, never had a mice problem since it was plugged in over 2 years ago.

Was just going to post a message asking about these but found this thread on a search. We have lived in this house for six years and have never had a problem but now have mice. We have only caught two - they keep licking the peanut butter off the traps but don't get caught. I was hoping one of these repellers might do the trick but there seem to be mixed responses. Does any one have any other suggestions? Has anyone tried Eradimouse? My home doesn't feel like my own anymore

Other thing about the ultrasonic doodahs is that IME as well as not repelling mice they drive dogs bananas.

Don't have a dog so that shouldn't be a problem. We do have a cat but he doesn't seem to have been a very good deterrent!

I had mice in my flat - was v. depressing. eventually I borrowed a freind's cat - mice vanished after two days & didn't return!
