What is your solicitor doing in all of this, the man is an arse of the highest degree and is not worth talking to.

charliebat · 20/10/2005 21:57

QueenVictoria · 20/10/2005 21:58

Thinking of you.

LadyTophamHatt · 21/10/2005 09:38

showing my ignorance here rickman, but what does the parental re. thing mean?

What moer does he want from you?

LadyTophamHatt · 21/10/2005 09:39

it doesn't mean he's going for custody, does it?

Freckle · 21/10/2005 09:41

Rickman, your solicitor should write to his stating that interest will be charged for every day the money is outstanding. That might make him behave like an adult.

He really is an *rse. PR means very little in practical terms. Theoretically it gives him a say in the children's upbringing, but, if there is a dispute over, say, which school they should attend, then one parent has to make the decision and that parent is going to be the primary carer. He probably thinks it will give him some control over you and the children, but it doesn't.

LadyTophamHatt · 21/10/2005 09:43

ohhh, freckle...I love that answer!

He really is a stupid arse of the highest order.

Charge the interest at about 50% rickman

Sorry, Rickman, but your solicitor is talking rubbish. You shouldn't have to wait until a certain member of staff is in. What on earth do they do for conveyancing, when money has to be sent on a particular day - not always known in advance? Of course they will have someone there who can confirm whether money has been received or not. I think you are being fobbed off. Your solicitor can call the bank personally and ask if money has been received. It doesn't have to be the "accounts lady".
