After you told me about A day out with Thomas, I looked it up and we went this morning.

I think we have made dd's life never mind day, lol!
She really really enjoyed it.
We wouldn't have known about it if you hadn't posted your piccie!

Thanks again

lol NBG glad she enjoyed it. Was a very good day out and would recommend it.

Nbg · 16/10/2005 16:17

Ahh I'm glad you've seen this.

I don't think words can describe how much she enjoyed it!

After we had been on it we watched it do another trip and I thought dd was going to burst, she grinned and squealed that much, lol

bless did she do the big waving the flag everytime it came in and out...ds stood for ages doing that..lol

CountessCadburyOfBournville · 16/10/2005 16:36

we went a few weeks ago - fab isn't it.

Nbg · 16/10/2005 16:38

It is great and yes we forked out 75p for a flag

It's going to be up in North Yorks in a fortnight and it's very near where dh works. We might take her again.

75p?! It cost us 80p!!!

Nbg · 16/10/2005 16:41

Ha, lol!

Yes but we live in Barnsley.

Nemo666 · 16/10/2005 16:42

ours was 75p too..lol

CountessCadburyOfBournville · 16/10/2005 16:44

everything is more expensive in the south grrrr

Nbg · 16/10/2005 16:50

What did you pay for the tickets? £3 for adults and dd (2) was free here.

OP posts:
CountessCadburyOfBournville · 16/10/2005 17:03

err £11 for adults and £8 for each child [grr]

Did you get all the bouncy castle, the hour ride on duck , the little ride on Thomas, the punch and judy man, the face painting and all the other stuff too, or have we been royally done?

Nbg · 16/10/2005 17:07

Erm...

Possibly not.

The £3 was for the train ride. They had some pirates taking advantage, doing donkey rides (??) for £1.50 and you could pay £2 for a ticket to go some rubbishy fair rides which IMO looked older than my nan.

Ahah! I don't feel like such a mug now

It was a really good day out and despite it being more than we would generally be able to afford for a family day out, we came away feeling that we hadn't been fleeced.

Nbg · 16/10/2005 17:22

I think dd would have been too young to be bothered with anything else anyway.

It made her day seeing Thomas.

£7 each in central scotland and I did resent paying the same for 2 yo son.

However, it's now a month on and he STILL talks about it practically every day. He now sadly declares that "my friend Thomas" is back in Sodor and "myabe one day" (said with great longing) he'll see him again.

A great day out.

Nbg · 16/10/2005 17:25

Aww thats sweet!

OP posts:
Nemo666 · 16/10/2005 20:57

ours was £10 for adults and ds was free[2] but we had the punch n judy, bouncy castle etc and it there were different things at 3 different stations.
