I have tried contacting a seller to ask for a postage price if I buy more than one item from them. But I keep getting this message emailed to me:

Dear Customer,

Due to a mistake created by the EBay listing software, that we have recently
used, you may have difficulties paying for your item using Paypal.

We currently only accept Paypal payments as this is easy to managed and also quite quick.

You can pay straight to our Paypal account by using our email address
(**-uk.com).

If you have difficulties doing this you can send us an email with your Paypal registered email address and we will send you an invoice with the correct amount.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me and I will get back to you straight away.

Kindest Regards

I have tried emailing them to the address given but I still receive a copy of the above email.

I'm not sure whether to just leave it, but I really want the kids costumes!

Have they offered a discount for postage if buying more than one item? It's just that I have asked in the past for a discount when it hasn't been mentioned in the ad and I was completely ignored, in the end decided to pay them what they wanted for the items plus the two lots of postage charge with no discount.

sounds dodgy to me!

think id try and do 'buisness' with someone else!

I pay by paypal 'normally' or dont buy it!

kid · 09/10/2005 22:20

it does say they offer a discount. Their item location is listed as Avery Hill, London, Thailand
They are asking for £9 to post a childs dressing up costume. But as they are only asking £3 for the costumes its not that dear altogether.

Hmmm, sounds a little sus, have you actually made a bid?

Could it be that the mail you have received is some sort of automated mail from Thailand and you will get a proper response at a later time? Or have you been waiting to hear for a while?

MrsSpoon · 09/10/2005 22:34

Must add I have bought things before that seem to span the globe, and haven't had a problem.

NannyL · 10/10/2005 09:28

i too have bought these from hong kong with no prob at all!

mumfor1sttime · 10/10/2005 09:32

Report the email to ebay. They can check the email to see if it is a spoof.

jambuttie · 10/10/2005 10:31

i would contact ebay if you can.

ebay sent us an email around a month ago regarding paypal fraud.

someone was sending out message tp pay/update your paypal account and it was fraudulent

Kelly1978 · 10/10/2005 10:36

Doesn't sound dodgy to me. They are only askign for your paypal address, not any personal info. It sounds like they have had problems with turbo lister - I've had the same. If you make payment by paypal and it all goes wrong you can make a charge back anyway.

Kelly1978 · 10/10/2005 10:39

fraudelant emaisl direct you to a site that looks just liek ebay or paypal and ask you to unpdate your info - then they can steal you account name and password or whatever else you fill in.

bambi06 · 10/10/2005 10:47

send it on to ebay and they will check it out for you..theyre very good about it. ive done this a few times and they always come back quickly

SleepySuzy · 10/10/2005 10:51

It doesn't sound dodgy or fraudulent to me, just an automated email.

kid · 10/10/2005 16:14

Well, I got their email address from the email automatically sent to me.
Even though his listing says they offer a postage saving discount, his email to me says he can't offer a discount as each item is shipped seperatly, I don't see why he can't put 3 items in together.

I don't think I'll bother buying from him, he does have positive feedback but people comment it took about a month to receive goods.
