Just wondering. DS is 4 (5 in Feb) and really into music and also enjoys listening to story CDs. But is he too young? Would he wreck it? Obviously I would only get a cheap £20-30 one. I was thinking about it as an idea for his Christmas or birthday present.

He's been off school this week and DH has rigged my kitchen stereo up in his bedroom. which is really what got me thinking?

So what do you think?

bin thinking about this - seen the thread and keep going past

by a radio cassett - then tape the cd's. you can then save the cd's and if the tape gets ruined you can tape it again.

But custy we have no means of taping in our house. We are all CDs now - although I do take your point about him scratching the CDs. We do have the means to copy CDs though - so think we will do it that way.

You could always just copy the CDs onto a blank CD if you are worried about originals getting scratched.

Thats what I meant hula. And Custy don't be sorry because you did come up with the copying idea.

i remember my mum taping off the radio and we all had to be totally silent - invariabley someone came in the house shouted hello to much a groan instead of a welcome and the dog would bark spoiling the whole taping thing.

technology has come so far - it never ceases to amaze me

there are walkie talkies in the lloyds pharmacy for £5 (pink)

trippin on nostalgia there

I used to do that too custy but the DJ would always spoil it by talking over the end. Grrr. Also my bedroom was next door to the bathroom so there was always the risk of someone flushing the toilet.
