hello all x

Im new on here, was told good things by a friend of mine about this site.
I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I am getting married this june in which i have booked the church and reception, but reciently we have had finacial troubles.
Does anyone know of any really good places/companys that i can get things really cheap eg-flowers,decorations,bridesmaid dresses, that sort of thing as im working on a really tight budget and really dont want to re-arrange my wedding date.
thanks for reading

Ebay for bridesmaids' dresses (made to measure in Shanghai for about £60), the bits to make favours, tiaras, sometimes evencars depending on where you live. Nice centrepieces for reception tables can be made using tea lights or church candles (IKEA) and mirror tiles (B&Q), ask friends to take photos and give them to you, bake your cake or have a friend do it then get someone to ice it for you, ask if any friends know how to make a bouquet (my SIL just bought the flowers and made it herself as that was cheaper), ask if friends can do hair as their gift to you. Lots of people can give you a skill as a gift rather than a toaster!
This is not made to measure but shows the kind of thing available. I think I'm right in saying that wedding stuff often runs to slightly small sizes.

Monsoon do nice dresses and they have a sale on at the moment. If you can get to an outlet place then Coast have nice dresses too.

My friend asked her friends to give her old material and made really pretty bunting to decorate her venue. She also made chutney and jam as wedding favours.

You can ask friends for their skills rather than wedding pressies.

Making hand tied bouquets is quite easy with florists wire and ribbon to tie the stems.

I got loads of advice on www.confetti.co.uk.
