DH has been told by his company that as he's worked for them for 10 years, they'd like to buy him a present up to the value of £200! Alright for some, however he's pretty stuck for ideas as of course now that he has an opportunity to spend some cash on himself he doesn't know what he wants!! (It has to be something as the company will do a presentation, so he can't just ask for cash.)

Anyway, I thought where best to get suggestions but MN. So if any of you have suggestions please post them here.

(He / we have been trying to think of something that he wouldn't normally be able to afford, hence some kind of gadget, although of course if you can think of something better.....)

I look forward to the replies....

A tent?! He would so LOVE to go camping but I'm really not into it. I had too many cold wet camping holidays as a child. Call me a coward but I like my home comforts.

We've got a telly in the bedroom (he bought that with his pay rise last year!!)

He wouldn't know what to do with golf clubs and the pressure washer comes out twice a year

Will tell him about your dh's comments on the playstation Iota. (So how much is a Bose radio? Now I'm curious?)

My DH has just pointed out that we don't have a plasma in the bedroom!! I was thinking widescreen when I read plasma.

He says thank you for all the suggestions but he fancies a remote control helicopter (Why?!)

We have an ESKY helicopter. You can practice the controls on the computer before crashing the real thing! Make sure you get loads of spare blades etc as they break easily!

Thanks for that tip. He says his dad had a petrol one years ago so he knows ALL about the repairs bills!! The one he's found is a small electric one that he can fly in the house (apparently the spares are cheaper )

Don't what my 4 and 1 year old will think of it though

Ours is electric (bought for DS, something they do together!). Sold as flyable in house but too big really. They have done it but only to practice hovering at up to 2' above carpet level!. They fixed ping pong balls on training legs top help balanced landings. DS does quite well but it is sooooo hard!

Have fun!
