No dh won't let me

doormat · 02/10/2005 15:30

had one around lunchtime-dh wasnt happy but stuff him, left him to fend for himself and kids
if I could do it everyday I would

expatinscotland · 02/10/2005 15:32

Oh yes! I used to get by w/o one, but at 29 weeks pregnant, it's a necessity. During the week, I have one after work. I also bring a travel alarm clock to work and nap during my lunch hour. 20 minutes does the trick.

SleepySuzy · 02/10/2005 15:34

No way, expat!!! Wow!

I wish I could, but I just can't sleep in the day - too much of a light sleeper, but if I could I most certainly would. And dp would have to do his fair share looking after dd!!

Blossomhill · 02/10/2005 15:36

Dh's is not happy unless I have a broom constantly up my a*

Steppy1 · 02/10/2005 15:36

....woke up at 3.30am this morning when nDD came into our bed..couldn't get back to sleep so could really do with an afternoon kip right now !!!!!!!!

expatinscotland · 02/10/2005 15:37

I can't stay awake all day now I'm in this last trimester. Our staff room has couches and I go in and have a snooze. Weekends, I have at least an hour long kip.

Not pregnant, nah, I don't usually nap. But I usually have more energy when I'm not pregnant.

Lonelymum · 02/10/2005 15:38

Are we talking actually napping here or going to bed for "ahem" other reasons?

If naps, then I agree with Expat. When I was pg, I could not survive without a nap every day, even when I was alone with toddlers in the house. They had to watch videos or play alone as I would pass out if I didn't lie down and sleep.

Not being pg anymore, no, I don't feel the need for naps anymore.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 02/10/2005 15:40

37+ weeks pg - I NEED MY SLEEP - am off for a nap now..... and i tend to sleep when Jess sleeps during the week when DH at work.

shades1 · 02/10/2005 15:47

nope - work Mon to Fri and feel like I've missed out on my time off if I sleep during the afternoon at weekends, when PG though and on mat leave I'd normally fall asleep watching quincy

I'm afraid I did much the same when I was pg but I did used to get unbearably tired. If I didn't go to bed, I would end up falling asleep on the sofa in front of the TV which was much the same thing. I wouldn't do it now though, just to indulge myself IYSWIM.

Ooo I do when I put DS to bed 3-4.30pm I go for a snooze or just lie on the bed...blissful..although I have the excuse of being 7mths pregnant..lol I actually sleep better in that nap than I do of a night.

weesaidie · 02/10/2005 17:14

Nope I just can't. The few times I have I always feel horribly groggy afterwards!
