Does anyone else's school use School Blazer as their uniform supplier?

If so how do you rate them?

I'm having a nightmare getting stuff from them. The website won't work for me and telephone orders aren't getting to me. They've refunded money despite claiming they've sent me stuff (which I've never received) and without me requesting that they do so.

They really don't seem to know which way is up.

Absolutely useless. Every size they've recommended for my son is either too small or huge! He's tall and thin (like most of his mates). What a shower of s**t!

my dc is only going into nursery but i got my first order all present and correct, fits well and got a refund from one item returned. i did totally ignore all the recommendations on the website though (what he 'needs' and what size).

does the school have a uniform shop? ours is having a sale next week for last minute top ups.

Our school went with Schoolblazer despite a survey in which 74% of parents requested a shop. One word sums it up . Lamentable. Things fall apart and despite everyone only having the new uniform for ONE YEAR it looks shabby and I would say over half p.e. bags are split and torn. One parent's business is uniform and another parent is a textile expert and they have both expressed 'surprise' that the school has accepted such a poor quality. Ask your school whether they are in business of providing an education or selling clothes.

So pleased to hear that it is not just the service that I have received!! (not pleased that you received bad service iyswim Wink).

We have really patchy service - and School Blazer are all sweetness and light to the school, so the school think that we are whinging parents!

It used to be so much easier when you could pop into the shop in town.....sigh.

I find the sizes come up small, Ds who is 15 wears 30 waist jeans but needed a 34 in school trousers, cannot fault them for quick delivery and returns . Would agree though regarding the quality of some items the jumper for his school looked old and scruffy after about 3 washes. Our school has a shop on site where you can try on all the uniform before ordering so you can be sure of the correct size and I would recommend you do that rather than rely on their sizing it is certainly something I will do next year to save the queue in the Post office to send things back!

My DD's/DS' school recently switched from uniforms being only available at John Lewis to Schoolblazer.

The price has gone up massively and the quality has fallen through the floor to worse than jumble sale levels. We have sent back large numbers of clothes as the quality is so bad. E.g. bobbly, after less than 1/2 a term; yesterday, we got a brand new coat and the popper flew off immediately.
The school doesn't like to admit it, but it gets a cut of the cost of uniforms from Schoolblazer. That's the real reason for the switch.

We buy as little as we can from Schoolblazer (only the stuff with the logo on) and all else comes from JL/M&S/Asda etc, which is much much better quality.

The school know about the quality issues, but I can only presume the commission kickback is worth it. It's a private school too, so it can hardly want for money given its fee levels.

Hi DS starts KGS next week and I now realise I need tracksuit top and bottoms for him, do they need to be logo'd? If so is there a site selling iron on logos? Or another alternative to the £30/35 logo'd items?
