Janh, do you remember the Blue Peter Bring and Buy sales of the '70s and '80s? The same thing, yes?

LaScummettaMummetta · 25/09/2005 13:18

Do you have to swap things or can people just take what they want, I wonder?

Janh · 25/09/2005 13:36

I think so, dinny - but no money required?

The name implies a swap, doesn't it, scummy? But presumably you could bring eg a teaspoon and take away eg an Edwardian swing-mirror

(Um - hesitate to ask but what's LaScummetta all about?)

See Moomin's 7.20pm post about her pricelessly brilliant book on how to make up cool new names here ! (Warning: Thread a bit divided because peripherally about 'chav' concept, which I actually hate, but Moomin's book is fantastic and I RedOFL.)
