Try using the autotrader website they check loads at once for you

QueenOfQuotes · 24/09/2005 14:48

Have you tried Tesco, and (urghh) Diamond. they both came back at really good quotes for me last year when I using my porivisonal licence. - went with Diamond eventually as they were slightlyy cheaper/

QueenOfQuotes · 24/09/2005 14:49

misdee · 24/09/2005 14:50

try looking on moneysupermarket they will compare all prices off thousands of insurers and find you the cheapest

QueenOfQuotes · 24/09/2005 14:51

oo that's cheaper than they came for me - think mine was about £800!!! (but then we had an enormous Mondeo which I was learning to drive in )

BunnyBoo · 24/09/2005 14:53

I just got an absolutely fantastic deal from Hastings Direct!

Pixiefish · 24/09/2005 15:44

confused.com are excellent as QofQ suggested.
Be careful that you're getting like for like cover though- eg there may be really high excesses on some policies so they cost less to insure

expatinscotland · 24/09/2005 15:45

We used Esure and got a REALLY good deal from Norwich Union. BUT, we switch every year and shop, shop, shop. Of course, everyone wants a 4-years-no-claims driver, but gees, neither of us has even had a license for 4 years, although DH is getting close (December) - knock on wood.

Im using an internet broker, quotelinedirect.com. They seem pretty good.

I used to be with Hill House Hammond, a high street broker, they ALWAYS got me a really good deal till the beancounters at Norwich Union closed them down in their wisdom.
