...have a 2nd viewing on the house tonight.

14 months is way too long without a single offer - positive vibes this way please!

Really, really hope that it's good news, GDG. Know how stressful it is just moving (seem to do it when pg or plan to when have new baby - totally mental!) so goodness knows how fraught you feel over this!

Can you canvass a couple of other agents to see how they'd go about marketing it if this viewing comes to nothing (which I very much hope it doesn't!)? Make them work for their commission!

flashingnose · 20/09/2005 20:42

Everything crossed for you...

LadyTophamHatt · 21/09/2005 09:54

Hi everyone - no word yet - will get dh to chase up!

Hunker - yes we are planning to get another agent in for their view on things. Arranged it for a couple of weeks ago but then we had the other 2nd viewing and now this one so we need to make sure there is no buyer before we swap.

SherlockLGJ · 21/09/2005 11:44

Well get on with it girl

Gobbledigook · 21/09/2005 12:43

F*ck. Viewers cancelled last night at 6.30 but 'they are still keen and are going to arrange for later in the week'.

My arse.

LadyTophamHatt · 22/09/2005 20:29

Gdk??

Gobbledigook · 22/09/2005 22:45

LTH - I think that potential buyer was a wash out - apparently 'they are still interested but are looking at detached houses as well' - WTF? So they aren't interested then!!

Back to effing square one

I tell you waht though - I'm glad I'm not living in it - keeping it tidy would be driving me mad and I'd have spent all last Saturday morning blitzing it for nothing.....and then again on Tuesday!!

moondog · 22/09/2005 22:50

Our people should sign tomorrow...........all being well or 'Inshallah' as they say in Turkey.

Is the new kitchen in now gdg?

Gobbledigook · 22/09/2005 22:51

Yes it's in - not making any difference though! Although the market does seem to be picking up a little - had a few viewers recently after a very quiet summer.

moondog · 22/09/2005 22:52

Does the estate agent give you any feedback?
Have you thought of renting it out?

Gobbledigook · 22/09/2005 22:54

Have thought about renting but I think it would create more stress as everything has to comply with regulations, we'd be liable for any repairs etc, you've got to rely on the tennants keeping it nice, rely on them to be OK about doing viewings etc.

From a selling point of view it's easier this way - renting would just ease financial but, although it's a right pain and very frustrating, we can manage.
