And as I was opening it I was thinking "What's this? Oh Gawd...it can't be Christmas card...not yet...oh please not a wedding invitation...it's not my birthday for a fortnight...." And even when I saw it said "Happy Annversary" on the front I was still puzzled.

It's from my Mum and Dad. For mine and dh's wedding anniversary - today. Which I forgot. Completely and utterly. I mean, dh did too but he always does - I usually have to prompt him. Eight years today. That's Bronze, apparently.

And I can give you a cast-iron guaranteee that if I were to enter the state of wedded bliss, DP would forget instantly what date I had agreed to make him the Happiest Man Alive

I've forgotten ours the last two years even though dh remembered. And my MIL.

Happy Anniversary. Our wedding anniversary is in June, about the middle of August I remembered and dh said Oh yeah! What a romantic couple we are!
