i have always wondered what side would be the safest to put dd car seat on in the back. and i can not come up in my own head which side would be safest. she is on the drivers side at the moment

so i was wondering what side everyone else had theirs on. see if people know which side may be the safest

thanks very much

So is the back rest pretty rigid ? I'm just a bit concerned that in an accident the base would be held solid but the back might flex forward sharply whereas in a seat that isn't held so rigidly both parts would "give" a bit.

Sorry for hijack.

The back does move forward a bit, but not all the way forward - because of it being screwed in. And certainly not as forward as DD would without it. It works the same as any other booster type seat I think (seems similar to friends), apart from it seems pretty well made, the screws hold ot all togther well, and obviously the Isofix. The seat bit can slide forward/back a little bit - you can recline, that's why.

Depends on age of your little one really I guess. It says from 9 months, but I wouldn't want to use it from that age as I prefer a 5 point harness when so young.

atm, dd3 is on driver sides, dd2 in the middle, and dd3 passenger side. once the older two are dropped off at pre-achool then it will just be me and dd3, her seat in the future will be in the middle3, as it means that putting the other two kids in is easier.

dd1 is on passenger side.

Should be passenger side imo as then it is pavement side when you get them out. We have car seats in each car and dp's is passenger side and always nice and safe and mine is driver's side and a complete PITA since I'm always getting her out in the road. So definitely I'd say passenger side, depending on which way you facing when parked normally outside your house of course.

I always do the younegts child (most likely to kick mu back seat) on the passenger...

If a baby and toddler, then the rear facing baby seat behind me (driver) and toddler on passenger side

I dont think there is really a 'safest' side.... depends on where / how you crash etc, and know one knows that until its too late...

Some say the middle seats are the safest... but often car seats dont install as safely in the middle. (obviously SOME do)

Safest list I posted earlier is in order of probability and severity of damage/injury during a crash.
