Yesterday we were at the ball pool when I went to get some sweets. While I was gone DD1 pushed a little boy over, DH was in the toliet with my neice when the mum said something along the lines of "if you don't stop that i'll........" DH flew into a rage and shouted at her, DD1 has CP and delovopmental delays.
I returned and the lady came up to me and said sorry, explained what had happened and asked what was wrong with DD1. She said sorry so many times and even brought the kids all some sweets afterwards, so she must have felt awful, but DH wasn't prepare to accept her aplonises (SP??) and today it has caused any argument as he still think I was wrong to accept her sorrys.
Am I in the wrong?

If she threatened to hit your daughter then I do agree with Lou33 that your hub's reaction is very understandable, mieow. I know I'd be livid if someone threatened to hit one of my children (and their bad behaviour is usually down to naughtiness not special needs).

same here, I did not realise that this woman had actually threatened to hit your dd. I can't think of one situation where it would be OK for a stranger to threaten to hit any child, SN or not.

Maybe I am in the wrong after all, but i didn't see or hear any of it, so i can't say, DH tends to hold things against people (bit like his mother who thinks the whole world is against them) I didn't realised that she had treaten to hit DD1 till we left the ball pool, by which point I had already accepted her sorrys. And to be honest DH hears things wrong sometimes.
It has all died down now and we haven't spoke about it since sunday morning.
