Most kitchens (and their accessories) are designed around 600mm carcasses, and you can get fittings / cupboards in other sizes like 300, 400, 500 etc. etc.

I would expect carousels etc. would fit other kitchen cabinets as they all tend to be made of the same stuff / same thickness material IYSWIM. Best to take exact width measurements though and compare to the aperture you are seeking to fit them into...

I can't remember the exact measurements but I know IKEA tends to use thicker wood for the fittings than other people (definitely more solid than B&Q) It's something silly like 10mm vs. 16mm, but this was just something that was mentioned in passing. I would assume then that if all shells are roughly the same size then IKEA shelves and fittings might be marginally narrower than others??

Feel free to say I'm talking cr*p btw!

Just had a look at a basic base unit... here . They say 18mm particleboard.

18mm is essentially standard for this sort of thing, so not really sure about Ikea being thicker / thinner than any other place..

... it's possible though !

oh... doors / drawer fronts etc. probably do vary in thickness, with cheaper ones being thinner, and made of less expensive veneered board / particleboard etc. instead of solid wood.

Thanks. Will measure and check. Made a right cock up B&Q though. Bought doors over a year ago Just getting act together to sort out kitchen, need a few more doors, find range is now discontinued! think we found last few doors on display but a bit buggered if still need one

Ikea doors don't fit B&Q cupboards and vicecersa

The door holes are in the wrong place

And the sizes are slightly different (as we know to our cost)

There are odd-ball specialist 'door making' companies who offer new doors to 'dress up' older / tired kitchens. They would probably be able to position holes / make stuff slightly wider / taller etc. as needed... dunno if that helps...
