We move into our new house on Monday, and have decided that we want to be on line.

Don't want broadband though. Who does a good light user package, and is there any provider we should avoid?

Dh has warned me that the internet will be for banking and shopping purposes only. I will still only be allowed to Mumsnet when at work.

So tips also needed for how to resist mumsnetting at home whn the PC will clearly be calling my name..........

lol - well the MN at home - impossible I tell u not to check in!

erm, depends on how much u want to pay for the net really.

and def don't go with AOL, we've had mega softwear probs with it, as has my mum and PIL also have, also SIL's parents as well.

Onetel are good and they provide several package options, with or without phone usage tied in.

OTOH, don't go anywhere near 'Homecall Broadband' if you value your sanity and your finances!

our tiscali bill - Broadband, it's 17.99 for that no limits, then our phone bill's come in at 14.00 so for both incl the line rental we have paid £45, which compared to what we were paying is a huge reduction.

have a look at moneysavingexpert.com. Or Uswitch. Some of the smaller, less well known companies do pay-as you go offers.
