Hi. We're planning to do a car boot sale on Sunday but am somewhat at a loss to know about pricing. If you can offer any advice, it would be much appreciated!

The majority of our stuff is dd's books, cuddly toys, puzzles etc. There are lots of Horrid Henry stories and other paperback books. It's all in great condition and we really want to get rid of it and raise a bit of cash for our chicken fund!!

I'd blanket price it at 50p. Hate going to car boot sales and finding everything costs too much. If it's cheap you're likely to shift it as well.

Thanks, Flisspaps. I don't want to come home with stuff and haven't been to a car boot sale in years!

Hiya,
Im no expert but i done my first carboot sale this summer. I sold loads girls playsets, toys, and books, clothes, bedding. Everything was like brand new so i sold ELC playsets for 5-7 pounds each. Hungry caterpillar, Kipper books for 1 pound each. DVDs 2 pounds each. After 11-12 oclock everything was down to 50p. I did not bring things back. There was Childrens charity van and i dropped all the left stuff in there. I made just under 100 pounds, which was great money for the things i was about to give away to local charity or may be trip to tip.
Good luck.

OK, just been to one today and also hoping to do one.

I saw books priced from 20p - 50p.

I saw jigsaws are really 50p although some people trying to sell for more. In fact I saw some quite expensive toys (worth £30) for £1 and in great nick.

Put it this way - we got a full playmobil enourmous bloody great big pirate ship with all accessories in great condition for £5 which was my bargain.

Sadly - I realise that although all our stuff is in fabulous condition - it won't matter as most things need to sell for 50p.

Best of luck.

OHHHHH, lots of replies! Brilliant! We'll follow your advice, get there early, sell like mad (hopefully!) and then charge peanuts for the remaining stuff - I'm determined to bring NOTHING home!! :o
