Should we have an unofficial troll policy?

If someone is idenfified as a troll should we all agree on a unified course of action like ignoring them and not arguing the toss?

Please don't hurt me, I just want to troll on peace.

It comes to something when you can't even pretend to be someone else on an internet forum.

Oh I love playing with the harmless trolls. The nasty ones should be ignored(like the one who insulted member profile pictures and where they've made up a story for sympathy and got MNers to open up about painful situations) but the "getting back into the game" one was just good fun.

I like the idea of a pet troll. Must remember to feed it over Christmas and holidays though. Get in a Troll sitter or something.
