Anyone got an ironing lady?

I have just found one and just wanted to check the price is OK and about average?

She has quoted 50p a garment - how does that sound?

JanZ - i am in total agreement with you. Would much rather have someone do my cleaning than ironing. Unfortunately I think it is outside our budget.

I dont mind cleaning much or ironing, I just dont ever seem to get round to it and living wiht the laundry mountain and sticky floor was getting a bit depressing. What I would LOVE though would be a fairy who came in every evening while I was doing bath and storytime and put the whole of the downstairs back together for me again so I could start my evening on an up and not on an 'oh s**t' feeling.

Linzoid after this thread we have started paying more to our cleaner. She was chuffed and I felt much better as it is a relentless job in our house. maybe you should ask for more it may be that the people you airon for like me just arent clued into the going rate.
