I use Asda's own shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged hair but I also use a pro-v spray in/ leave in conditioner fromm Boots. Makes my hair soooo shiny and managable. My hair is very fine and flyaway so tihs is a miracle for me!

WigWamBam · 22/08/2005 12:13

I like I Love Juicy shampoo from Lush - smells nice and keeps my greasy hair from looking like I've been wearing a chip pan on my head.

The models on the TV adverts get their hair loking like that because they have stylists who are paid to make the shampoo look good. No shampoo is going to make you look like that - sorry!

LilacLotus · 22/08/2005 12:13

having tried pretty much every bottle on the shelves in the supermarket, i have now settled with VO5. but as with all the others i still manage to break off bristles on my hairbrush trying to get through it. my hair is long, very thick and wavy.

elsmommy · 22/08/2005 12:15

I use pantene shampoo. Nicky Clarke does some staightening balm thats really good. And use serum, that makes any hair look shiny.

jampots · 22/08/2005 12:17

my hair is glossy and I use flit between Toni & Guy Volume Explosion (Boots) and Sunsilk Anti Flat (supermarket). I always use T&G VE conditioner though. I think the key to my hair being shiny and in nice condition is that occasionally I let it get REALLY greasy and minimise heat exposure. Having said that both of my sisters have course unshiny hair and one styles hers beyond belief and the other doesnt even own a hairdryer

CountessDracula · 22/08/2005 12:18

T&G one

dot1 · 22/08/2005 12:19

I'm a Charles Worthington fan!! Can't really afford it, so kid myself by buying the tiny bottles for £1.65 and use cheap stuff when I'm not going anywhere!!

SleepySuzy · 22/08/2005 12:20

I'm on Fructis Sleek & Shine at the mo, cos it was on offer in Boots, an it is fantastic! I've had loads of comments.

munz · 22/08/2005 12:22

tresemme the big bottles last about 4 months and that's washin long hair everyother day - £7.00 for the two but well worth it.

Frenchgirl · 22/08/2005 12:25

Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner, love it!

spykid · 22/08/2005 12:26

recently switched to kerastae shampoo and conditioner and cant believe whata difference it has made to my hair!
went to hairdressers last week aND HE SAYS IT IS THE BEST Condition my hair has ever been in.
When I cant afford it I use aussie shampoo and 3 minute miracle.
sorry about caps

Satine · 22/08/2005 12:31

I've used Kerastase for ages and whenever I feel guilty about the cost and switch to cheaper shampoos and conditioners, I notice the difference right away. Sad but worth the money!

steffee · 22/08/2005 12:35

I mix and match, usually Toni and Guy, Charles Worthington or Mark Hill, but I buy them in the sales etc. I use any old conditioner though.

alicatsg · 22/08/2005 12:55

so its just me who uses baby shampoo because i can't get DH to buy anything else when at the supermarket then? I really have to get up to speed with this grooming malarkey. (exits stage left, muttering and pulling at knots in hair)

juice · 22/08/2005 13:43

how much is kerastase. never heard of it before

spykid · 22/08/2005 13:46

I buy mine from here
This is much cheaper than in salons

gingerbear · 22/08/2005 13:55

Top tips - wash hair every other day maximum (daily washing will strip natural oils from hair and dry it out). Also, only put conditioner on the hair that you can put up into a ponytail - i.e. don't dollop it on the top of your haed and rub into the roots.

DelGirl · 22/08/2005 13:58

I use T Gel. It has that lovely coal tar aroma but I have very sensitive skin and it's the only one I can use. Having said that, not tried any others for aaaggggeeesss. Bloomin £7 for a large bottle, which is probably smaller than most average bottles gggrrrr

eidsvold · 22/08/2005 22:58

I use pure earth and have found it fab for both me and dd1 - her hair is sooo fine and long and it looks soooo silky and smooth with this one.

eidsvold · 22/08/2005 23:00

pure earth here

Milge · 22/08/2005 23:06

Aveda Shampure. I don't use conditioner.

babyonboard · 25/08/2005 20:04

redken products are amazingly good..but a bit pricy
i love aussie 3 minute miravcle conditioner too...

Nbg · 25/08/2005 20:05

I've just had my hair coloured so I bought the John Frieda Radiant Red Shampoo and conditioner.
I know it sounds cheesy but my hair really has never looked so good

Gobbledigook · 25/08/2005 20:06

Whatever is on offer

Quite often use Alberto Balsam which is really cheap and I find it great for my hair. I think it's 99p for a bottle (shampoo or conditioner).

fqueenzebra · 25/08/2005 20:07

Simple, Neutrogina, or anything without perfumes in it, really.
