Trick or treating

This might sound silly but I’m feeling a bit deflated by the whole trick or treating thing.
Last year having just moved house we took our dd (6) trick or treating in our road and decorated the house to get into the Halloween spirit. Our dd enjoyed it but watching her trick or treat by herself whilst other kids wanders round with siblings or in groups broke my heart. So this year I made sure I asked around early to see if our neighbours or any of her friends fancy joining us.
All have declined as they’ll be trick or treating in their own roads or will be joining another group. So our dd will be on her own again. Just annoys when people don’t think being an only it might be nice to invite her? I also don’t want to come across as the desperate Mum; I find it’s a fine line between asking and being overly pushy. All feels a bit rubbish as she’s excited but I feel despite doing my best she’ll be on her own again 😢
anyone else have this issue with their only?

Does she think she is going to be lonely?

Next year be bolder! If they say they are trick or treating on their roads why don't you ask to join them? Or early on ask a few of her friends to come over and take them out. By then she (and you) may have more friends in the area.
