One year vaccinations

So I tried to book my baby's 1 year injections a few weeks ago and was told it was too early. She's 1 next week.

I booked them today and they can only give me the 13th Oct which is the day before we go to Portugal for a long weekend.

She has been fine after the first day after her other jabs and I already have Calpol sachets to bring with us. Am I being really naive in thinking it will be ok to still go on holiday the day after?

I've seen loads of people say their little ones have been absolutely fine but then I've seen people say the opposite

It will be fine. Just pack some Calpol incase.

With DD we delayed until after we got back, on advice of the paediatrician (when we lived abroad so normal to see one for shots). She had a fever about a week afterwards, which is apparently very common, so we were glad not to be away then.

I'd wait until after the holiday so that you won't have to deal with potential side effects

Hello OP; same situation here with jab and holiday timings. What did you do and how did it go?

Hey, we ended up going ahead. She had her injections in the morning, was fine until evening but was then really unsettled. We went the next day and literally it was fine. Only issue was she didn't like sleeping in the travel cot but it was nothing to do with the injections. Luckily it worked out for us
