All the normal things we would do in the summer are either no go - summer holidays, holiday clubs, swimming, soft play - or we've done them to death - bike riding, walks, beach, TV, arts and crafts etc

What else can we do to entertain a single 7 year old?

Thanks

@northprincess.. It sounds like you're doing everything you can and doing a great job! We have a 6.5 year old and we haven't done ther much. But yesterday DH & DS made a boat out of plastic milk bottles and went to a nearby pond to sail it. DS really enjoyed that. I was at work having a rest!!
Enjoy the rest of the hols.

We got a membership to our local zoo. You have to prebook tickets but it's actually a lot nicer and they let you in earlier/leave later than normal bookings plus they are letting less people in which is great.

A few other bits we are doing with my only (4 year old daugther) - fruit picking (blackberries atm)
Pond dipping
Crabbing (we are pretty close to the sea so appreciate not everyone can do this)
Scavenger hunts- go for a walk and have a card with pictures/ descriptions of stuff to find. Ie a blackbird, large leaf etc
Sign up for tucan craft box (loads of other boxes like kiwi which is a science box we will be trying when our current one finishes)
Cooking and baking
Cleaning and decluttering
Small diy projects
Gardening
Car cleaning

One of our children made a treasure hunt for us today. They even buried the "treasure" in the garden and had lots of fun designing clues and a map etc

Outschool are running some really good online classes over the summer- I have let mine pick a few each that they were interested in and they have enjoyed the social element too

Someone on here recommended the game Rhino Hero and I have enjoyed playing that with ds (8), it's a fun and very different game

How about letting them plan a trip somewhere? Even if it is just a random little town /village. I got DS to research where he wanted to go and how long it would take to get there etc and how much it would cost to park. He really enjoyed being responsible for our day out.
