I'm pretty sure I don't want another child, having one devotes me totally to him and I have struggled to adjust to motherhood but yet I feel pushed into having another so ds isn't an only child, all I get told is only child are lonely and weird, I also do a law A level and in more cases than none the criminals arre only children, I"m happy with just one my ds has an auntie who is just 1 year older and he sees everyday so it begs the question do all mums of one child feel forced to have another and are all only childs 'different'?

Don't worry, you'll be back at school next week and have less time for the internet.

A levels cannot be completed at school...

Only children are no more likely than anyone else to be weird or criminal or anything else. You do not need to listen to these people telling you this bilge. Finish school and love your child and look after him well and he will be balanced and happy and so will you. And ignore all crap advice.

All only children are different in the same way that all children with siblings are different! Yes, there are probably some weird onlies but there are also lots of other weird people who aren't.

If you hang around this board you will find lots of people who, for all sorts of reasons, have only one child. For some it is by choice, for others not. It certainly doesn't make you in any way strange.

The only people who can really make the decision to have another child are you and your partner. There's no right or wrong answer - just the answer that is right for your particular family and circumstances. Ignore well-meaning friends and their advice and do what is right for you. You might change your mind, you might not...

Theres no need to rush in to having another child.

AT this point I'd say concentrating on your current child and those exams may be the best option. Harder to get qualifications with another baby in tow.
