I did post about Susie last night but think you may of missed it because of the thread going. My fault once again !
The update was that Susieis on a very high level of oxygen , still having antibiotics but have not decided what to do about the other part of her illness, she is still very poorly but was not as confused on Saturday which is something at least.
We finally have the sun out today but it has been raining all morning and was just generally dullsville.
Even the cat has stayed in over night, which is very odd, but I prefer it as we know he is safe.
Will let you know the latest on poor Susie when I hear next, I know we will all be wishing her well.

I have got in in touch with Susies dd as it's over a week since I heard anything . I did say I wouldn't bombard her with texts but I think 1 message in over a week is acceptable ! I'm sure/ hope she won't mind. Fingers crossed the news is better.
i seem to of developed hay fever in my old age ! I'm sure it's the sweet Williams have caused me to have these
terrible sneezing episodes, I have got some hayfever tabs which is controlling it and offending flowers banishe out of the lounge !
Lovely sunny day here and I will go out in the garden in a while to carry on planting some more in my pots.
Hope everyone is doing ok and Roses hope your little gdaughter is doing well and her Mum & Dad too. 🏊

Friendly stranger; sorry for the late reply to your question.
(Yes to new hayfever here, too. Possibly the grasses that our council is allowing to thrive nearby - I love them in principle but they aren’t so fond of me!)

Hi Lin, sorry I didn't get here sooner, missed the end of the last thread as usual...

Sorry to hear that Susie is no better. I do wonder if she will make it home anytime soon sadly. I'm just hoping that she's comfortable and not in pain.

You can't get hay fever now Lin, your family always love to bombard you with flowers on special occasions!

Nothing exciting to report here, think I might have got some kind of water infection and my eye is still a bit swollen so rather fed up with my body.
Went to see DP's eldest yesterday, he's moved into a nice rented flat over an hour away so we drove over, played some board games and had a takeaway. Realised on the way there that my darling former MIL lived almost on our route (with my ex husband!) so stopped by very briefly to see her on the way home. She was delighted to see me and meet DP- kept telling DP what a lovely wife he has and that he's lucky 😂
Ex didn't show his face (she came out to the car). She told me that he's very poorly and is on blood thinning medication to head off strokes/heart attacks but his breathing is laboured and he can't get about much. He's only 62 and sounds like he's on his last legs. Meanwhile his mum is 88 and going strong.

We had to change one of the tyres when we started heading home as we realised it was very low and wouldn't stay pumped up. Made everything take longer as I couldn't go full speed on the motorway with the emergency tyre. Going to get it sorted now before we head away for the weekend.
I've booked us a little airbnb near Poole and plan to visit Corfe Castle, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove so far. The weather is looking promising so I'm really looking forward to it. Haven't given DP any details but asked him before booking to make sure that he didn't have plans. Of course in hindsight we should have checked with his DCs about Fathers Day as his DD was a little miffed but as he pointed out, if they were making plans for it, they should have made sure he was aware and free!

Hi married as yet I have had no further update from Susies dd. I don't like to text her again, and yes I also think a great possibility that she won't get home. And if she does I don't know where she will go to. I think she will need a lot of care. But I'm not gonna dwell on the possibility of that. But instead th8 k no news is good news !
So glad you are going to visit Corfe, I hope you will go and have a look round the ruins. The history of it all is good to hear about tho I can't remember it all !
Lulworth and Durdle Door in what is called the Jurassic coast.
im not sure about the weather down in the South haven't heard anything.
We went to a show last Thursday that my brother had given me the tickets for. Was a very old pop star from the 60,s. Marty Wilde. Honestly apart from the fact he didn't jump around ( he is 87 ) his voice was great.
My Dh made me laugh, the minute we sat down the man sitting next to me was telling me how when he was young he was in a band etc, then onto his faint etc. Was very interesting. At the end of the show the man said to my Dh "I hope you didn't mind me talking to your wife ". My Dh replied " no not at all, it saved me the bother " I thought it was so funny.
Bit of a nuisance about your car tyre but at least you got home ok. Hope you will have a wonderful weekend .ps there is a cafe by the car park at Corfe ! If you have time have a little walk down the cobbled streets and see how low the doors are !

The tyre isn't very old and there was no obvious damage to it. The guy is good and changed it for a new one just in case. He will get the manufacturer to inspect it and if it's faulty they'll replace it for him.
I got home to an email from Sainsbury's confirming my spending of £20 of Nectar points a few miles away. I hadn't been near the place or spent them so they have cancelled my existing card and replaced both it and my stolen points.

Marty Wilde is a little bit before my time although of course I've heard of him. I'm glad you enjoyed it. That quip from your DH is funny!
Hay fever seems to be becoming more common, even for people who've never had it before. DS appears to have it for the first time this year- he's most unimpressed. In his words 'I've been mocking people for years for getting beaten up by flowers and now I've joined them!'

The World Cup schedule is playing havoc with DP's sleep patterns because he wants to watch as many as possible. He's been up half the night where he can but then is nodding off the minute he gets in from work.

There was an accident this afternoon just after I got back from shopping. DP called me asking why the traffic was at a standstill near our house so I went outside to have a look. Some poor chap was lying face down and unconscious in the middle of the road a few yards away being attended to by ambulance staff. It looks as if he was knocked off his bike and the cars involved were blocking both the exit to my road and the main road. It's a main artery so it was utter chaos. I hope the man is okay.

Hope the cyclist be will be ok Married There is no protection for them is there.,
Your house is not alone in the football palaver, but even worse it's Dh keeps telling me completely irrevant things about players I've never even heard of and I really don't need to know it all.i think two days ago he watched 3 different matches, but didn't manag3 to stay awake for all the Scottish match !
But onto better news. I have in the last few minutes had a text from Susies dd and the news is very encouraging, she is a lot better and will probably be able to come home soon. She apparently is desperate to get out tho she has some nice ladies in her ward to talk to.. I was extremely glad to receive that message.i don't know if she has had an operation or anything but no doubt I will hear from her when she gets home.Phew what a relief.
