I didn't think I would be able to start this new thread as I made a terrible mistake with my password and got completely mixed up. But MN were all excellent and were helping me out by trying various things and all the time it was my own fault How stupid am I ? Roses got anything to tell us yet 🙂 ? .

Hi lin' I do read sometimes and think I must post but am distracted by school stuff/life stuff and put it off. Would be sorry to lose the Phalanx thread.

School is really quite dreadful, am fighting daily and it drains me more. I should have retired (at 60 I always thought but now 67 here!) but can't afford to, I console myself with the students who really cheer me up. Some confide in me, they blossom and I keep going.

My children alternate between filling me with pride and my sighing at their stupidity.

On another positive note I love how everything is green and smells so wonderful.

Hello Mummylin. No news yet, second half of May, I'll let you know when the baby arrives. We don't know, and neither do ds and dil, whether it's a boy or girl.

At mother's next weekend. Have had the spinkler on here as it's been so dry and the lawns will turn if I don't water. Too cold to garden today, and wet this afternoon.

Got here on Thursday evening and loving it. First couple of days were very overcast but it’s a steady 29-31C night and day. Sun appeared yesterday and it’s scorching when it’s out. A couple of brief downpours but no complaints from me. Enjoying the wildlife and saw a huge sea turtle this afternoon about 3 minutes into our snorkel session.

I can't tell you how delighted I am to see all of you . It was touch and go whether I could get on the site and it was my own fault for doing something so stupid. I think people who keep putting the wrong password in are stupid, especially if their name is Lin !
Fid great to see you and wish school could be happier for you, but it seems what the school lacks the students more than make up for it, so not all bad.
My German friend sent me some photos of some beautiful flowers in the last fortnight as her area had a flower festival, I have to say they looked lovely. Do you have that where you are ?
Roses I think it's lovely to have a surprise , think if I was to have my babies now, I would still like the surprise . I get it's easier to buy the right clothes etc but it's so exciting knowing that when you give birth you will soon find out what you have.
Married what a dream of a holiday you are on, a wonderful surprise for your birthday. You are obviously loved a lot ! You must be so thrilled you learnt to swim and get over your fear , no holding you back now and sharing the waters with fish and large Turtles , amazing. !
My Dh has just been on his annual trip with his quiz friends, they went to Spain and it seems it rained most of the days. Now my ds is off to play golf with 3 friends down in Cornwall where apparently the first course is on a cliff top ! Forecast wind and rain for 3 out of 4 days !
Anyway time to have a cuppa, I made some cheese straws earlier and cant stop picking. Though they were nearly straws without the cheese as I forgot to add it into my dry mix but I managed to add it into my mixed pastry.

We have had spells between sunshine and rain, but the wind has been so cold today. I resorted last evening to using my electric throw ! Hope all are doing ok, just spent a lovely afternoon with my dd and my sister also came round for an hour as well and brought me some beautiful yellow roses.
