How do i explain to the nursery i want to go to two days a week from four, for about two months before going back to four again? Surely they'd want to give that space to someone else? I'm not against paying for the extra days in case i need to use the ad hoc, but I just think they are going to see it as weird and something they aren't sure they can do as i'm sure that most people don't have so much flexibility in their woork pattern.
My baby is in nursery tuesday - friday. He's not a year old yet, and i hate having him in this long (no choice really). In september i'm starting a post qualifying training course on secondment at university, doing two days at work, two days at uni, but until then i've been offered the opportunity to go part time immediatly, and i'm desperate to spend time with him. I'd be working three days a week at first, monday - thursday, and my other half would be able to watch him on the monday when he isn't booked into the nursery, which leaves two days at nursery.
Do you think this is likely to be possible? Or am i going to get told no way?
What's the best way to explain it?
