Does anyone have experience of this nursery for an older child - aged 2+? Any thoughts appreciated!

My DS attends there 2 days a week. On the whole I've been really pleased with it (though, to be honest, I've not got much to compare it with - he's been going there since he was 11 months old. He is now 3 years and 8 months old).

We are moving him in the autumn to a school nursery. Largely because whilst I'm really happy with it now, I can't see him still being there in 15 months time, when he's nearly 5. Most of his friends will be moving to school this year whereas he's old in the school year and so won't be starting in reception year at school until next September and so I'm conscious that he would be a lot older than most of the other kids at Fig Tree in a year's time (if that makes sense).

I would very much recommend it, but as I say, I think that once he is over 4, he'll be ready for a change. This is not so much a reflection on the nursery, just on what I think DS needs. If he was young in his school year I wouldn't have bothered moving him to a school nursery - and would have kept him at fig tree till school. It's just that he'll be almost 5 when he starts school.

Does your child already go there and you are just wondering whether it's suitable for 2+ or are you thinking of sending a child there for the first time? I only ask as I won't bore you with info re the premises and staff generally (both of which I like)if you are already familiar with the place.
