Erm, my DD (11mo) hasn't cried at her settling in sessions

Is this normal?! I had a dreadful time settling in DS. She didn't even go that wobbly when she realised I'd gone.

I took her for a second short session this afternoon and was expecting it to 'kick off' but she couldn't wait to get off my lap and into the toys! When I got back, she was tucking into grapes and sandwiches.

She hasn't needed to sleep there yet so I suppose that might be when it all comes unstuck. I'm just a bit shocked it's going so well after my first experience.

Separation anxiety affects children at different ages and to different extents - although it typically peaks at around 9-12 months. So maybe she's not really suffering from separation anxiety yet, or maybe she's just a particularly adaptable and independent child.

Either way, it sounds good and I hope it lasts!

neither did mine - she's 6 & still no sign of sep. anx., she's just a happy little soul ready to run off & play with anyone.
