You can eat them uncooked. Why won't he eat the food the nursery provides??

i dont no when i put him into nursery at the end of august i had never left him he was with me 24/7 so im not sure if it was just a shock to his system everything changing (was only just turned 2) and he just wouldnt touch a thing to eat so they suggesed i try him with a pack lunch and again im not sure if it was just becuase he knew i had made it or what but he eats it no probs, i have since tried him with their food now hes settled in but he still wont touch it

Have you tried asking the nursery to put the food they prepare in his packed lunch box - or going shopping with him to pick his own special plate / cutlery to use at nursery. I think it would be a good idea to try and get him used to eating food prepared by others before he gets much older.

I am surprised the nursery has suggested this.
The nursery should be trying to encourage him to eat their food.
They have taken the easy option.
I would suggest that you don't make his lunch box exciting. give him the same boring thing every day, but ask the nursery to try to get him to at least try their dinner too.

I have worked with lots of fussy children over the years and have had lots of breakthroughs with their eating.
There is normally at least one thing at every meal that children will eat, even if it is only pudding.

Is it work seeing if he would be better off with a childminder? then if you send him in with a packed lunch you won't be paying for a cooked dinner?
is he otherwise happy there?

he loves the nursery and has settled in really well so i wouldnt change him now dnt think its worth unsettling him again.
