Minihome in London N16 - good enough for my darling darling DS??

So, DS is here (6.5 weeks!) and is just soooo lovely, I can't quite get my head around the thought of leaving him at the moment but needs must...

Got an offer of a place at Minihome. I really liked the place and have spoken to a friend whose DD loved it there, but would love to know of anyone else's experience? Esp of the baby room there. DS would be FT there by 6.5 months.

Thanks ladies.

Hi MissMitford - my children didn't go there, but I know people who did send their children there - have replied to your other thread.

Miss Mitford - just seen your post. DD was at minihome a while ago and although its one of the most sought after places in N16 we had real ups and downs. The management are really not that great to be honest.. v chaotic. BUT, it does really depend on who your keyworker is etc. DD was in baby room for about a year and I nearly took her out twice as she had 4 different keyworkers in that time and became very unsettled. Last one was just brilliant though. I also think its much too big a room with a huge age range and no separate space for babies. You have 3 month olds battling for space with 14/15 month olds who are running around the place. And the sleep area is rubbish if yours like quiet and dark. DD loved the toddler room though and everyone's experience is always down to their own child's needs/wants etc.

i know someone whose daughter goes there - she is very happy with it .... i agaree with sydney that there is no real sleep area designated for babies, which might or might not be a problem .....
there are some other lovely nurseries in that same area
Rainbow (which recently got the highest rating for their baby room); Coconut to name two others - although you probably know this.
good luck with your choice, its a lot down to instinct and your gut feel, the nursery giving you a place and of course a quick read over any ofsted report lurking around!

Oooh thanks for the feedback - I used to do yoga in the baby room and always thought it had a really nice atmosphere, but that's not exactly hard evidence....
